Fasting – Why is it so Important ?

Your body is at work 24/7 processing the food that you have just eaten 5 minutes ago, 2 hours ago or 12 hours ago it does not matter.

The only time your body gets a chance to rest is when you sleep. Now when it comes to the glands and organs of the body your body is always processing the food that you have taken in.

Your body transforms what you have fed it into fatty acids or glucose to be used by the bloodstream to give the body energy. Your body is constantly at work processing what you have put into it. Just as your physical body needs a rest so your organs and glands of your body need a rest too.

Lets look at a marathon runner for example. Just as his body needs a huge rest after a long run so your glands and organs need a rest from constantly processing and digesting and transforming food to be used by the body for energy.

My own personal preference when it comes to fasting is a Juice Fast. Now when I say juice I mean homemade juice that I personally make with my juicer.

Now I am feeding my body all the necessary nutrients my body needs and live cells with enzymes which are the catalysts for the rejuvenation of damaged cells within the human body. My body is now totally healing itself at the same time I am giving it a rest.

I personally like to fast for 3 to 5 days but if you are just starting you first must prepare for a fast by eating the right foods and start off slow like a one day or 2 day fast to start.

While you are fasting your body is living off the fatty acids that your body has built up over time. When Jesus fasted for 40 days he never died from fasting did he. When you fast you are healing damaged glands and organs within the human body not to mention broken blood vessels and damaged nerves. Most importantly you are allowing damaged cells to rejuvenate themselves.
